Help drive our market advocacy
Earlier in 2021, ISSA’s Asset Servicing Working Group established a subgroup to specifically look at the challenges that exist in the sourcing of quality and timely asset servicing data. The aim of the subgroup was to understand the challenges and then identify potential solutions that could benefit the securities services industry.
Over the last six months, the Data Sourcing subgroup has been researching the various issues faced by the different market participants and participated in the creation, distribution and review of TheValueExchange survey. Additionally, the group has worked with various markets which have either implemented – or are looking to implement - a single source approach to collate information on their approach.
The next steps will now involve the subgroup taking the key findings from this ValueExchange report, as well as the other market information that has been gathered, in order to produce and publish a white paper that will provide best practice guidance in the data sourcing space. Through highlighting the issues, and providing key practical steps that the industry can take to find solutions, ISSA will positively shape the future of the securities services industry.
